Stadium overview
The Stobart Stadium HAlton is many things to many people, but the one underlying message is that it is a genuine community facility that is treasured by a wide and varied section of the local community, making it very much “The Peoples Stadium”.
The Stobart Stadium was designed and built to provide far more than a world-class arena for sporting events – the Stadium also provides function and banqueting facilities for the local residential area and community with outstanding hi-tech conference facilities.
Emphasis at the Stadium is always placed on offering the highest standards to every user; every step will be taken to ensure that the customer enjoys the Stadium experience, be it business, leisure or community involvement
The Stadium has made significant progress in achieving its objectives and in contributing to the Council’s over-riding corporate priorities. The forthcoming years will see a continual, and vigorous, pursuit of new challenges and new objectives to ensure that the Stadium remains a source of pride to the local community and a valuable asset to the community it serves.
In 2010/2011 more than 850,000 visitors attended the Stobart Stadium Halton with over 180,000 attending pitch-based activities.
Halton Borough Council’s investment of more than £11,000,000 has been described as innovative and imaginative by a number of professional and business visitors.
The Stadium’s Core Objectives are to:
- Ensure the delivery of good quality services and to seek improvements to those services on an on-going basis
- Maximise income streams and minimise operating costs
- Have regard to the Council’s corporate vision and strategic objectives in the running of the Stadium
- Ensure a commercial approach to the Stadium, while also respecting the social needs of the borough’s residents
- Ensure a safe and welcoming environment
- Raise the profile of the Borough of Halton
- Ensure the public and Stadium users are consulted and kept informed of its operations.
